SSD
SSD stands for Solid State Drive. It is the latest
storage device that uses flash memory to store
data. It is more durable and faster than a hard
disk as it has no moving parts. It has a short
read-access time that speeds up the computer.
CD
CD
A Compact Disc (CD) is a shiny, circular disc that can store up to 700
MB of data. It needs a CD drive to read the data. It is used to store
data such as music, videos or software.
An optical disc uses a low-powered laser beam for writing and reading information.
CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs are optical storage devices.
DVD
DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc. It is an
optical storage device that looks like a CD but offers a much larger
storage capacity, ranging from 4.7 GB to 17 GB.
BLU-RAY DISC
A Blu-ray Disc is an optical disc that uses a blue-violet laser. It can
store up to 25 GB on one side and 50 GB on both sides, which is
about five times more than a DVD.
PEN DRIVE
A Pen Drive or USB Flash Drive is a portable storage device that
connects through a USB port. It uses flash memory to store data and
comes in different sizes like 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and more.
A USB port is used to connect external storage devices to a computer for
data transfer.
